Run Portland is looking for national class middle and long distance runners to be part of a unique program. Members of our elite team will receive support to offset the financial costs of their training through the partnerships Run Portland develops with the local community. Run Portland aims to take the developing national class athletes from college and provide a successful group training atmosphere with expert coaching to enable these runners to reach their potential in their sport. Run Portland will provide group training, coaching services, equipment, housing and health care services at no or reduced costs to our elite athletes.
The ideal candidates for our elite club are recently graduated post collegiate men and women who are currently at or approaching the national class level in their event (see recommended standards for application below).
